Psychoportation is the psionic specialty of moving material from one location to another. Many psychoportation skills allow a psion to move himself or herself, and at higher ranks, some of these skills allow the character to move others as well.

By concentrating, the character can accelerate or decelerate himself or herself or another living target within 8 meters. The psion must decide whether he or she is accelerating or decelerating before making the skill check. The effect on the target’s action check score depends on the success:

  • Ordinary: +1 or -1 to the action check score.
  • Good: +2 or -2 to the action check score.
  • Amazing: +3 or -3 to the action check score. The ability lasts for one round, but the duration can be extended by spending 1 psionic energy point for each additional round. Rank Benefits:
  • At rank 6 [Action Points]: the target gains or loses one action per round (to a maximum of 4 actions) while the effect lasts.
  • At rank 12 [Instant Stop/Start]: the target gains or loses another action (to a maximum of 4, minimum of 0).

Apportation

This ability allows a character to summon an inanimate object from a distant location or to banish an object to another location. The psion must have seen the object he or she is attempting to apport. The weight of the object that can be apported depends on the skill rank and the success:

  • Ordinary: 1 kilogram per rank.
  • Good: 2 kilograms per rank.
  • Amazing: 5 kilograms per rank. The object appears or disappears instantaneously. Rank Benefits:
  • At rank 3 [Living Matter]: the psion can apport living matter.
  • At rank 4 [Increased weight]: the weight limit increases: Ordinary, 2kg/rank; Good, 5kg/rank; Amazing, 10kg/rank.
  • At rank 6 [Precise Apportation]: the psion can apport an object exactly to a specific location with no drift.
  • At rank 8 [Increased weight]: the weight limit increases: Ordinary, 5kg/rank; Good, 10kg/rank; Amazing, 20kg/rank.
  • At rank 9 [Large Apports]: the psion can apport objects that are up to 1 cubic meter in volume.
  • At rank 12 [Increased weight]: the weight limit increases: Ordinary, 10kg/rank; Good, 20kg/rank; Amazing, 40kg/rank.
  • At rank 12 [Distant Apports]: the psion can apport objects from locations he or she has never seen, as long as he or she has a clear description.

Duplicate

This ability allows a character to summon a duplicate of himself or herself from another location in the multiverse. The duplicate is identical in every way and possesses the same skills and attributes as the psion. The duration that the duplicate persists depends on the success:

  • Ordinary: 1 round.
  • Good: 2 rounds.
  • Amazing: 5 rounds. Rank Benefits:
  • At rank 4 [Duration]: the duration of the duplicate’s existence increases by 2 rounds.
  • At rank 8 [Independent Action]: the duplicate can act independently of the psion, although they still share the same psionic energy pool.
  • At rank 12 [Multiple Duplicates]: the psion can summon up to three duplicates at once.

Teleportation

Teleportation allows a psion to instantaneously move from his or her current location to another. The psion can also teleport objects or other characters. The range and weight limit depend on the skill rank and the success:

  • Range: 10/100/1000 meters.
  • Weight: 10 kilograms per rank (Ordinary success), 20 kilograms per rank (Good success), or 40 kilograms per rank (Amazing success). Rank Benefits:
  • At rank 4 [Increased Distance]: the range increases: 1km/10km/100km.
  • At rank 8 [Increased Distance]: the range increases: 100km/1000km/World.
  • At rank 12 [Increased Distance]: the range increases: World/Galaxy/Universe.

Timeslip

This ability allows a psion to move himself or herself forward in time. To everyone else, the psion appears to vanish instantaneously and then reappear later. The duration of the jump depends on the success:

  • Ordinary: 1 phase.
  • Good: 1 round.
  • Amazing: 2 rounds. Rank Benefits:
  • At rank 4 [Amazing success]: the jump increases to 1 minute.
  • At rank 8 [Amazing success]: the jump increases to 1 hour.
  • At rank 12 [Amazing success]: the jump increases to 1 day.
