History

Hailing from the Earthlike world of Aleer, the Aleerins’ history diverged from humanity’s with their fascination for mechanics and computers. They bioengineered their own species, producing a synthesis of flesh and circuitry that pervades the entire species—they are born with cyberbionics. After a shameful period of planetary conquest, the Aleerins underwent a unanimous cultural shift toward pacifism and logical sedateness, eventually joining the human galactic community.

Special Abilities

• Computer Operation Skill Bonus: Mechalus receive a -1 step situation die bonus for Knowledge-computer operation or Computer Science-hacking skills when merged with a computer via finger filaments.
• Cybernetic Enhancements: Born with neural data slots, an internal processor ([Good] nanocomputer equivalent), and a reflex device.
• Cyber Tolerance: Mechalus are not subject to cybernetic rejection, and their cybernetic limit is based on Constitution +4 instead of just Constitution.
• Free Broad Skills: Athletics (STR), Vehicle Op (DEX), Stamina (CON), Knowledge (INT), Awareness (WIL), Computer Science (INT).
