First Aid (U) (INT)
This skill can’t be used untrained.
This specialty skill represents basic training in first aid techniques, including the use of trauma packs and first aid kits. It doesn’t provide a hero with the ability to use surgical tools or specialized gauntlets.
Heal Stun Damage
Successful skill check restores 2 (Ordinary), 3 (Good), or 4 (Amazing) stun points to a conscious patient.
Knockout Recovery
Successful skill check brings a character back to consciousness and recovers 1 (Ordinary), 2 (Good), or 3 (Amazing) stun points.
Heal Wound Damage
Healing wounds in a combat scene requires a complex skill check and either a first aid kit or a trauma pack.
- Good Complexity: Using a first aid kit (1 wound healed on completion).
- Ordinary Complexity: Using a trauma pack (2 wounds healed on completion). A Critical Failure deals 1 wound and ruins the attempt.
Dying
A hero who uses either a first aid kit or a trauma pack and makes a successful skill check can stabilize mortal damage, removing the need for regular Stamina-endurance checks until surgery can be performed.
